As the founder and owner of Parent's Time-Out, everything that we do here matters a great deal to me!  I left a great Corporate position because it was no longer working out with being the mother to a three year old.  I understand what parent's are going through when they try to balance family and professional lives.  I also understand the fear of leaving your child in someone else's care.  My background and education are in business and human resources - combine that with being a parent and it makes me uniquely qualified to run an agency like Parent's Time-Out!

I started Parent's Time-Out based on the premise that ALL parent's need a "little time-out" from parenting.  We've grown and changed so much from those early days in 1993 that sometimes I no longer even remember what we use to do!  We've managed to make a dynamic agency that embraces change and automation.  Rather than outsource our web and database work, we've learned how to program ourselves - this philosophy allows us to offer programs that fit into almost every budget!  I'm personally very proud of the options that we provide and the fact that we reach a broader range of family's than any other local agency.  My mission is to continue to bring the best types of child care to as many families as possible.

I started work with Parent's Time-Out, Inc. back in October 1995 as a "drop-in" nanny providing sick and temporary childcare as needed by families.  I also provided part-time nanny care for a two year old boy and his baby sister (from 1996-1997) until the mother decided to become a stay-at-home mom.  I graduated with honors from ASU in May 1999 with a major in English and a minor in History.  I worked as a substitute teacher in the Mesa School District from 2000-2001.

As my life has changed, so has the work I do with PTO.  We welcomed our first child (a son) into the family in 2000 and added a daughter in 2002.  As our family has expanded, PTO has fit wonderfully into my desire to be a mostly stay-at-home mom while still helping other families find the quality childcare that they need and deserve.  I currently handle PTO's Payroll Program and am the primary Placement Counselor for our CarePremium placement program.  PTO is approaching its sixteenth birthday, and I'm honored to say that I've been here for over eleven of those years!

My husband and I are natives to Kansas City but have made our home here in the Phoenix area for many years. I am blessed that most of my time has been spent as a "mother" to our seventeen year old daughter.  Over the years I have been able to be very involved in her life at home, at school and in community organizations.  I have previous customer service and sales experience and have also served in Executive positions with the National Charity League, the Boosters for my daughter's school orchestra and with Foster Angels of Arizona.

I have been in my position with Parent's Time-Out since February 2008 and have greatly enjoyed working with the applicants and assisting them in making their applications the best they can be.
