As the founder and owner of Parent's Time-Out, everything
that we do here matters a great deal to me! I left a great Corporate
position because it was no longer working out with being the mother to a
three year old. I
understand what parent's are going through when they try to balance family
and professional lives. I also understand the fear of leaving your
child in someone else's care. My background and education are in
business and human resources - combine that with being a parent and it makes
me uniquely qualified to run an agency like Parent's Time-Out!
I started Parent's Time-Out based on the premise that ALL
parent's need a "little time-out" from parenting. We've grown and
changed so much from those early days in 1993 that
sometimes I no longer even remember what we use to do! We've managed
to make a dynamic agency that embraces change and automation. Rather
than outsource our web and database work, we've learned how to program
ourselves - this philosophy allows us to offer programs that fit into almost
every budget! I'm personally very proud of the options that we provide
and the fact that we reach a broader range of family's than any other local
agency. My mission is to continue to bring the best types of child
care to as many families as possible. |

Placement Counselor and Payroll Consultant |

I
started work with Parent's Time-Out, Inc. back in October 1995 as a
"drop-in" nanny providing sick and temporary childcare as needed by
families. I also provided part-time nanny care for a two year old boy and
his baby sister (from 1996-1997) until the mother decided to become a
stay-at-home mom. I graduated with honors from ASU in May 1999 with a major
in English and
a minor in History. I worked as a
substitute teacher in the Mesa School District from 2000-2001.
As my life has changed, so has the work I do with PTO. We welcomed our
first child (a son) into the family in 2000 and added a daughter in 2002.
As our family has expanded, PTO has fit wonderfully into my desire to be a
mostly stay-at-home mom while still helping other families find the quality
childcare that they need and deserve. I currently handle PTO's Payroll
Program and am the primary Placement Counselor for our CarePremium placement
program. PTO is approaching its thirteenth birthday, and I'm honored
to say that I've been here for over ten of those years! |

Recruiting Manager |

I have been working as a
nanny since 1998. I started working for Parent's Time-Out in the Sitter
Connection program in 1999, and continued in that program throughout my
college education. In December 2003 I graduated with honors from ASU with a
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am still active in the
Sitter Connection, but since graduating I have
branched out in the company. I have also been
working in the Family Room for the Diamondbacks since 2000, and have been a
supervisor there since 2001.
I am looking forward to continuing my
education in the near future seeking a Master's degree in a field working
with children. In the meantime, I am enjoying where I am in life!
I have been working for Parent's Time-Out as a Recruiter since
08/03. I am now the Recruiting
Manager and am responsible for helping applicants fill out applications,
conducting interviews, and keeping our database active and current. I am
also a part time nanny for a family with a three year old girl and newborn
boy. I thoroughly
enjoy being able to work in both positions and feel that with my education
and past (and present) nanny experience I can be a real asset to PTO and to
the applicants that I assist in finding work. |

| I graduated from Northern Arizona University in May of 2000 with a Bachelor
of Arts in Liberal Studies and a Focus on Enterprise in Society. Which
is a
lot like a business degree except without all the accounting :0)
I worked
in customer service for a motion industries distributor for five
years. At that time my husband and I decided to start a family. Noah Spencer was born in
November of 2005. For us, the stress of a 40+ hour a week position as
a
manager was no longer worth the money that I was making. Plus I have always wanted to be a stay-at-home
mom. And that is what is so great about working for PTO -- I get to be home
with my son and also have a part-time income. Having been on both
sides it makes me feel good to do my part to help
other families manage careers and families.
I have been working
for Parent’s Time Out as the Assistant Recruiter since January 06.’ I
really enjoy my job and I am sure I am going to be here for many years to
come. |
